Xiaomi Vice President and India Head Manu Kumar Dain has announced that the company has sold 10 lakh Redmi 5A in less than 1 month. It launched Budget Smartphone Redmi 5A in India a month ago. It starts from Rs 4,999, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Its second variant is 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, which is priced at Rs 6,999.
The initial price of the 2GB RAM variant of this smartphone was kept at Rs 4,999 and it was decided that the price would remain similar till the sale of 50 lakh units. This smartphone was called Made In India and it also came true with the smartphone company’s claims.
Redmi 5A has a 5-inch HD display and has a 1.4GHz quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. This phone runs on Android NoG-based MIUI 9 and has been given 4G VoLTE for connectivity. Apart from this, there are other standard connectivity features which include WiFi and Bluetooth. For the graphics it has been given the Adreno 308 GPU.
