“I am not in the race of becoming CM”: Mansukh Mandaviya

Ahmedabad,

Due to poor performance in Gujarat Assembly elections, BJP started an exercise a year ago in connection with the next Lok Sabha Elections. As part of that, the 11-member Lok Sabha election committee was announced at the meeting of the field holders.  The committee has included sub-committee of CM Rupani, Region President Vaghani and Regional General Secretary Bhikhubhai Dasani. Nitin Patel, Rupala, Mandviya and Bhupendrasinh Chudasama have also been included in the committee.

In Gujarat Assembly elections of the year 2017, BJP did not get the desired number of seats due to which it has been estimated that BJP might not get mere 26 seats in the elections next year and hence the committee has declared that BJP needs to focus more on the homeland of PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah properly. Party has already started taking necessary steps for the betterment of the current government.

Following the directions of the Advisory Committee, a meeting of the BJP’s office-bearers was held today in the office Kamlam. The 11-member Lok Sabha election committee was announced at the meeting. The election committee has not named Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Region President Jitu Vagani, and Regional General Secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania as their member. Though State Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, Union Ministers Parashottalam Rupala, Mansukh Mandviya, Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, former MLA Hirabhai Solanki have been included in the list.

Rumors are there that current Gujarat’s CM Vijay Rupani might get replaced by another BJP Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. But recently when Mansukh was asked about his take on the statement or rumor, he clearly denied saying that “I am not in the race of becoming CM yet”.
