Roland Garros on its way to set fire

The French open for tennis that takes place in May-June every year has already its qualifying round starting today and is supposed to be held for entire two weeks in Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France. It is famous due to its clay court championship which is one of its kinds and is different from normal grass and synthetic courts. It is the premier clay court tennis championship event in the world and the second of four annual Grand Slam tournaments.

Out of the four championships being French, Wimbledon, Australia, and the US, this clay court championship is considered to the one that requires immense endurance and hard work.

Entirely 7 rounds are required to be played in this championship. According to the reports collected so far, it has been estimated that tennis legend Roger Federer will not be the part of this championship this year. On the other hand, Rafael Nadal, another famous name in the world of tennis has won 10 titles in French open so far and is all set to put his best feet forward for the year.

French open is scheduled to be broadcasted from 27th May i.e. from Sunday to 10th June.

Another important news that has come forward is that Serena Williams will not be seeded after the maternity leave taken by her last year.

Now with Rafael Nadal being on No.1 in the world after Rome title, it is interesting to see who puts the threat in between him and the French Open title.
