Rahul Gandhi holidaying in Shimla after hectic election schedules

After hectic campaigning for polls in five states, Congress president Rahul Gandhi along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her children are holidaying in the picturesque Himachal Pradesh hill station.

Mr Rahul accompanied by Priyanka Vadra arrived in Shimla on Tuesday by road to see the latter’s under-construction house at Chharabra, a local Congress leader said.

The reason behind them choosing to reach the destination by road is that they wanted to explore the natural beauty of the state along with also giving a visit to Priyanka’s under-construction house at Chharabra.

As reported, on their way by road, the Gandhi family had stopped at a dhaba in Solan district for sometimes and took refreshments like snacks, tea and Maggi noodles. Few local people, on hearing Gandhi’s visit to the dhaba, approached the family to greet them. People did not forget to congratulate Rahul for his victory in the three states. Rahul conversed with the people taking information on the political developments in Himachal Pradesh. However, he added, “I am on a personal visit to Himachal.”
