It will not be compulsory to play National Anthem in theaters from now on. According to the Supreme Court’s order on Tuesday, it will not be mandatory to play National Anthem before a movie starts. The Supreme Court changed its interim order and released this order. The Supreme Court has directed the Central Government to prepare to change its decision on playing the national anthem in cinemas.
Earlier, on the appeal of Shyamnarayan Choksi, it was made compulsory to play national anthem before starting films in every cinema hall in the country. Meanwhile all the spectators were asked to stand in the honor of the national anthem. Only the disabled were given exception this matter. However, after this, the appeal filed in the Supreme Court made it reconsider this order.
