Vietnam’s President on visit to India, received Ceremonial reception in Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, who is on a three-day visit to India, arrived here a little late Friday evening.

President Tran Dai Quang received a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Saturday.

He wishes to strengthen their partnership to ward off China’s growing influence and will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Quang is also supposed to meet with prominent Indian businessmen.

The Vietnamese President has come to India with an 18-member delegation, counting ministers, party leaders, and businessmen.

PM Modi who visited Vietnam in 2016, a year before both countries celebrated 45 years of honouring diplomatic ties.

The two countries signed 12 agreements in a wide range of areas covering IT, space, double taxation and sharing white shipping information, During modiji’s visit to Vietnam.

Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang on Saturday received a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.

Upon his arrival, He was received by President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar announced on Twitter saying, “And this is how we welcome our esteemed guest! Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang was accorded a ceremonial welcome @RashtrapatiBhvn in the presence of President Shri Ram Nath Kovind and PM @narendramodi.”

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj Met the Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang here on Saturday to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral ties.

Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar once again Tweeted about the meeting.

“EAM @SushmaSwaraj called on President of #Vietnam Tran Dai Quang. The discussion focused on steps to further strengthen our comprehensive strategic partnership by expanding cooperation across all sectors. #ActEastPolicy,” his tweet read.
