Mamta Banerjee is greatly disheartened over Padmavati controversy!

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday condemned the controversy surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historic film Padmavati. She called them ‘unfortunate’ and ‘planned’ efforts to end the freedom of expression. Regarding this, she tweeted today which said, ‘The #Padmavati controversy is not only unfortunate but also a calculated plan of a political party to destroy the freedom to express ourselves. We condemn this super emergency. All in the film industry must come together and protest in one voice.’

Bhansali is accused of molesting the history of Rajput Rani Padmavati, although he has consistently denied this. The film was supposed to be released on December 1, but its release has been postponed. The filmmakers have not been shown any green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification. The Board has said that the application made by the makers is incomplete.
