There is growing opposition of people against large numbers of illicit brick kilns in Danta taluka of Banaskantha. There are large numbers of the brick walls in the mentioned area.
Despite the written representation in this regard, no action has been taken on the brick mafia due to the system’s media coverage. The strike is about preventing the environment which is getting affected heavily due to the brickworks. It is also imposing threats to human health.
A complaint was lodged against the work in Taluka but it is still pending. People are saying that they will choose unemployment for one day.
People have given the last date to be 13th June to stop actions else the strikes could be disastrous.
