The Kerala Police recovered the body of a woman from a plastic barrel filled with concrete on Monday. When the plastic barrel was being broken, Kochi city police commissioner M.P. Dinesh was present. He told that when the barrel was broken and opened, the bones were recovered from it. Hair and clothes revealed that the body belonged to a woman.
Dinesh said, “Primary investigations reveal that the body is more than a year old.” Local citizens say that the barrel was found during the cleanliness of a place near Kumbala. On Monday morning, people looking at the barrels surrounded by ants felt something suspicious. It was later opened in the presence of the police.
Bones were found after removing the concrete layer and soon afterwards the police asked the police surgeon to do the postmortem. The police has registered the case and started investigations.
