Indian captain Virat Kohli has reached the fifth spot in the latest Test rankings for the ICC batsmen, but his partner Ravindra Jadeja slipped one place down to number three in the list of bowlers. Kohli played in the first Test match against Sri Lanka where he scored an unbeaten century, which was his 50th century in international cricket. On the basis of that, he managed to get Australia’s David Warner from fifth place and joined top five.
Before Jadeja started the series against Sri Lanka, there was a chance to get to the top of the bowling and all-rounders list, but in Kolkata, fast bowlers dominated and spinners could not do well. This caused Jadeja the damage and he slipped to third place. In addition, he also lost 20 points in the all-rounders rankings. However, he can fill it in the forthcoming matches. Jadeja’s fellow spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, has remained in the fourth position as before.
