Honeypreet’s mother sends Rs 5 crore defamation notice to Rakhi Sawant

NEW DELHI: The mother (Asha Taneja) of Panchkula violence accused Honeypreet Insan has sent a legal notice of ₹5-crore  to actress Rakhi Sawant for defaming her daughter by making allegations about Honeypreet’s associations with Gurmeet Ram Rahim.In her defamation notice to Ms. Sawant, Asha Taneja has demanded the actor tender an admission of guilt within 30 days or pay Rs. 5 Crore for trying to defame her daughter by making allegations of her links with Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

Ms. Sawant had suspected that she was close to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and her proximity did not go down well with his ‘adopted daughter’ Honeypreet.”I realized that Honeypreet was uncomfortable considering my close closeness with Gurmeet and even feared that I may become her ‘sautan’ (lover’s wife) by marrying him,” Ms. Sawant was quoted as saying. Honeypreet calls herself “adopted daughter” of self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who was in August this year found guilty of rape.
