Farhan Akhtar Actor-filmmaker has ‘permanently’ quit social networking site Facebook.

The move comes after the shocking reports of Facebook’s data breach.

Farhan Akhtar did not even mention the reason; the ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ tweeted to inform his fans and followers of his decision.

On Tuesday, he tweeted “Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account. However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active,”

Earlier, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk also deleted Facebook pages of SpaceX, Tesla and his own official account on the social media platform. “It’s not a political statement and I didn’t do this because someone dared me to do it. Just don’t like Facebook. Gives me the willies. Sorry,” Musk tweeted.

Also the Hollywood actor and comedian Jim Carrey who deleted his personal profile on Facebook. Carrey then took to the micro-blogging Twitter to call out Mark Zuckerberg (founder of Facebook) about the data breaches. He also posted a message with the hashtag: #RegulateFacebook.
