A truck fell into a drain in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat, killing 26 persons on Tuesday, confirmed Bhavnagar collector office.

The truck that was carrying wedding guests flipped around and fell into the drain near Umrala on the Bhavnagar-Rajkot Highway. Total 12 persons were injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.
According to sources, they were from anida village near Ambala village in the shihor district. Wedding procession on the way to Ḍhasa for a wedding ceremony. many were injured and found under the truck. the parents of the groom were also found dead in this unfortunate occurrence. The cm office has asked for the details.
The truck was carrying nearly 60 people. Former reports said most of the victims were women and children.
Rescue teams are taking the help of cranes to lift the victims. The fire brigade has also joined the rescue operations.
More than 108 rescuers from the local area came as soon as possible to rescue the one injured in the accident.
