A year and half ago, a woman in Jhajjar district of Haryana killed her husband and cut his dead body in eight pieces is sentenced to 30 years of jail. Additional Sessions Judge HS Dahiya on Wednesday sentenced Pooja for killing 38-year-old Baljit in Asanda village of Jhajjar district in April, last year. The case was in discussion due to the manner in which Pooja had killed Baljeet and hid his body pieces in the house. The court on Tuesday convicted Pooja and sentenced her to 30 years in jail and fined Rs 55 thousand. Many people, including Pooja, were arrested after the incident came into light. In the inquiry, Pooja had accepted her crime. The court acquitted four other people in this case and said that only Pooja was responsible for this brutal murder.
When the matter got opened, it was found that Pooja had cut Baljit in eight pieces and had hidden him at different places of the house. She dug the floor of the house and buried Baljit’s head in there. It was revealed in police investigation that the woman had a relationship with another person and she murdered her husband to be separated from him. The brother of the deceased lodged the complaint in this regard.
